So your registrar led ceremony is now postponed - A celebrant led ceremony is NOT second best

Updated: Nov 1, 2020

The Bad News: You've had to cancel or postpone your longed for wedding ceremony

I just wanted to give a big shout out to any of you out there right now facing a cancelled or postponed wedding. I feel your frustration and your worry. Whilst we can all understand intelligently the necessity of these life saving measures, it is still entirely normal to feel sad when you have spent so much time, care, energy love, and not to even mention the 'M' word on making sure that your day is perfect.

The good news: Hope

Many couples are now researching alternative ways to celebrate their love and their marriage as council registrars and venues struggle with the best will in the world, to accommodate you. What many of you are now discovering is one of the best kept secrets in the industry - celebrant led wedding ceremonies are NOT second best! If I had just a pound now for every couple that chose me as their wedding celebrant when they had to change their original plans for a registrar led ceremony, who then felt that they had quite by accident rather than design, stumbled on the very best option they could have had. Let's just say that it's a good few. Check out my reviews on the True to You Celebrancy website website. Fran and Ben at Hornington Manor York; Vidya and Alex at Otley Chevin Country Park and Lodge, Bramhope, Leeds; Emma and Simon at Rogerthorpe Manor, Pontefract, and Paul and Louise at a beautiful local, unlicensed pub, but the the pub where they had their first date and where THEY wanted THEIR ceremony, all chose a True to You Celebrancy ceremony when the registrar led ceremony was not an option. Their words say it all:

A red True to You Celebrant led ceremony

"Deborah was amazing in every way and her guidance, enthusiasm and aura of calm made planning our Wedding day as much of a joy as the actual day itself. She took the time to really get to know us and our family and this was reflected in the beautiful ceremony she wrote for us. It was so personal and unique, all our guests commented how wonderfully emotional it was ❤. We can't thank you enough Deborah, our Wedding ceremony was the perfect intimate celebration of love that we hoped for and this was thanks to you" Louise and Paul, April 2019.

"I just want to say a special thank you for making our wedding perfect at Roger Thorpe manor at 18th January 2020..it was a magical day and we wish we could do it all over again thank you so much xxxx"

Simon and Emma Jan 2020 Rogerthorpe Manor

"Just in Helsinki airport waiting for our onward flight and reminiscing about Saturday.

We wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you did on the day and in helping us to prepare for the ceremony. We had an amazing day and we will have the lovely keepsakes you have made for us to keep the memories going" Fran and Ben, Feb 2020, Hornington Manor

Final Note: There is no such thing as fake ceremony!

You have read enough over the last few days I'm sure, so here's a little video from the True to You Celebrancy Youtube page.

I would love to talk to you about your celebrant led wedding ceremony. Give me a call or contact me via the True to You Celebrancy website. I'm looking forward to helping you achieve your perfect, meaningful, and memorable day.
